Notes: In 1990 Ishtar was stranded on the beach for five hours.  She was kept wet and rescued by the Guardafauna (Fauna Rangers).  She is a very proficient hunter.  Ishtar had a calf, Pao (PTN-006), born in March 2005 and a new calf, Shekei (PTN-018), which was first sighted in March 2008. Ishtar means “star” and is derived from the Babylonian for Goddess of Love & Fertility.
